Darwin's grandmother was Sybil Alice Flood, daughter of Lemer Edgar "Kip" Flood, whose father was "Jim" James Monroe Flood, son of William Dibrell Flood Sr. and his second wife Sally Cox. All of these Floods were born in Missouri after the family left Kentucky in the mid-1850's. My grandmother Sybil and great-grandfather "Kip" Lemer both died in Washington State. |
